Marmaladies WI (St Dogmaels)
Special Events
In addition to our regular monthly meetings we organise additional ad hoc activities. We also occasionally fundraise by running cake stalls or organising refreshments at village events.
St Dogmaels Village Show
The Marmaladies WI is a founding member of St Dogmaels Village Show which will takes place annually in late August / early September. There is room on the Village Show committee for any Marmaladies WI members that would like to give a helping hand with the organisation.
The schedule is distributed early summer to give you time to get crafting and painting or start practising your baking skills. A community event for all the family, including dogs, the show is incredibly well attended. Whether it's your fruit chutney, giant leek, crocheted spectacle case or waggiest tail you want to show off, your entry will be very welcome! The WI have an amazing track record across all categories and we'll be after more cups and certificates again this year. Please also come and show your support on the day.
Trips and Outings
In addition to the monthly meetings, we offer a varied programme of optional outings from cinema trips to wine tasting. The Marmaladies often visit Theatr Mwldan to watch films and live satellite screenings . Small groups also visit gardens, have afternoon tea and occasional activities such as pottery painting and other craft activities.
